The first edition of Free BIXI Sundays offered by Manulife is coming up on May 28th, which just so happens to be the same day as the Montreal Museums Day. All participating museums will be offering free admission. This is the perfect opportunity to enjoy a free BIXI ride to your favourite museum. Take advantage of this event and visit more than one. Just a friendly reminder that you can ride for up to 30 minutes for free, and may borrow a bike as many times during the day as you’d like.

Here is a suggestion of an itinerary you can take, so that you don’t miss a thing.

Go to the nearest BIXI station and grab a copy. Let the Montreal Museums Day begin!

DISCOVERY ITINERARY

1First stop : McCORD MUSEUM

BIXI station : President-Kennedy / Robert Bourassa

Park your bike at the BIXI station mentioned above and start your day off at the exhibition “Illusions: The Art of Magic,” which is a mix of art and advertisements dating back to the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Dive into the golden age of magic and advertising.

On your way out, grab another BIXI and ride over to your next stop.

2Second stop: FASION MUSEUM

BIXI station : De la Commune / Place Jacques-Cartier

Drop off your BIXI at the nearest station. Next, you will explore the history of Montreal’s fashion and designers at the exhibition “Established in Montreal. Actors of the fashion industry from 1845 until today.” A gallery displaying local talent and expertise from over the past 170 years.

When you’re done exploring the exhibit, borrow another BIXI to get to your next destination. A ten-minute ride and you’ll be there.

3Third stop : THE MUSÉE D'ART CONTEMPORAIN DE MONTRÉAL

BIXI station : De Maisonneuve / De Bleury

Once again, drop off your bike and begin your visit. The Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal offers a huge variety of artists and exhibits. You will love it for sure.

Finish the day off with a nice ride home. This itinerary gives you the chance to really enjoy the first Free BIXI Sunday, courtesy of Manulife.
