BIXI rolls along on three continents

The BIXI community keeps expanding by leaps and bounds. First, it was North America, with Montreal, Boston and now Minneapolis. Shortly thereafter, Europe followed suit with stations all over London. And now, BIXI goes to the Land Down Under as Melbourne is the next city to adopt the concept.

BIXI takes gold and earns Canadian public sector LEADERSHIP AWARD

 
Thanks to the determination and boldness of the managers behind BIXI, the Public Bike System Company earned Gold in the Canadian Public Sector Leadership Awards. During a gala reception in Toronto last night, Roger Plamondon, chair of the board of the company, received the prestigious award in the Not-for-profit category.

The Olympic torch rolls with BIXI!

The COVAN, the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games organizing committee had expressed the desire that one of its torchbearers ride a BIXI bicycle as the Olympic torch passed through Montreal.
