BIXI made its mark in 2008

Montréal's new Public Bike System has yet to be officially launched, but that hasn't stopped torrents of ink from flowing.

BIXI received an enthusiastic response from all kinds of media and residents in the city -- and from well beyond its borders. From the unveiling of the bike design in June to announcement of BIXI as the winner of the Find My Name contest, the city-wide brainstorm created by Stationnement de Montréal BIXI was on a roll.

BIXI was marked for recognition in 2008. In addition to live coverage, it was mentioned in many end-of-the-year retrospectives.

And now, 2009. BIXI will be up and running in the spring. TIME to get moving, as it were.
